Espilat mountaineering and climbing club started to work in spring 2006 with Justification from sport organization of Islamic republic of Iran.

This personal club is under discretion of Iran mount federation and has a close cooperation with climbing group of Tehran province.

This club is also a member of alpine club of Iran and has an organized relation with climbing groups, clubs and NGOs in Iran.

All of 20 early members are precedented climbers and mentors of this sport.

The club receipts 100 members of men and women every year and performs about 150 climbing plans include: peak climbing, rock climbing, ice climbing, desert walking, jungle walking, canyoning, cross country, caving and mountain sky.

Espilat also has a private bouldering saloon and operates educational bouldering, rock climbing and ice climbing plans and performs all of the theory and practical climbing lessons at primary to advanced grade.

As well as climbing high mountains of Iran like Damavand, 5622 H. and Alamkouh, 4850 H; Members of this club have succeeded to climb up some foreign peaks as: Ararat Mt. 5170 H. Turkey – Korjenevskaya Mt. 7105 H. Tajikistan – Broad Peak Mt. to 7650 H. Pakistan. And one of our members climbed up Gasherbrum II, 8015 H. in Pakistan Mountains in national team of Iran.

The club contains lots of subsystems and each subsystem has a director, as public relations director, financial director, technical director, official affairs director, and… . Espilat has a website and personal pamphlet too.

All of the directors in the club are working under attention of originator and head of this club, Mr. Zabih A. Hamidi.

One of the future goals of this club is to have athletic and cultural relations with members of climbing groups, clubs and organizations abroad Iran; we hope this will be achieved in a near future with foundation of cooperation and relation between these organizations.
